EAST LANSING — Not long after Brandon Jordan stepped behind the lectern for his first news conference since joining the Michigan State football staff, a reporter asked him Tuesday whether he had known much about his new boss, Mel Tucker, or the Spartans before he was hired two months ago.
Accompanying the question was a tone of bewilderment, which seemed appropriate given that nothing about Jordan being here, with this particular team, in his unorthodox role, makes much sense.
