Michigan football’s spring game: Which newcomers will surprise?

For the first time since Michigan football’s unforgettable upset of Ohio State last November — a win that propelled coach Jim Harbaugh’s team to the Big Ten championship in Indianapolis — fans will return to the Big House on Saturday to support their Wolverines.

Harbaugh and his retooled staff decided to punctuate the offseason program with a more traditional spring game inside Michigan Stadium that will be televised by the Big Ten Network. Co-offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore and co-defensive coordinator Steve Clinkscale were named head coaches for the event and, along with input from their colleagues, divided the roster in half with a fantasy football-style draft to create a Maize team and a Blue team.
