A-lister Michael B. Jordan, whose directorial debut Creed III is expected to hit theaters at the end of this year, and girlfriend Lori Harvey have reportedly thrown in the towel on their relationship, as per People. The couple were together for a year and a half and are, as per a source, “completely heartbroken.”
“They had great times together and brought out the best in each other,” People’s insider said, adding that the 35-year-old actor “let down his guard with [Harvey], opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time.”
Harvey, a 25-year-old model and Instagram influencer, recently made a splash on the French Rivera at the Cannes Film Festival, repping Remy Martin at a beachside cocktail party. She also hit the red carpet for Michel Hazanavicius’s Final Cut, evoking a Disney Princess look. “Felt like Belle last night at the Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony!” she wrote, while tagging her sponsors.
In a profile with The Hollywood Reporter last December, Jordan gushed about his relationship with Harvey (“I finally found what love is”) and how he felt their relationship was real enough to withstand public scrutiny. “There’s a premeditated planning of staying out of the way [of the public eye] that sometimes kills spontaneity and intimacy. I wanted to take that away and give this the best chance it had, in this weird world that we live in, to be somewhat normal,” he said, adding, “Yeah. I’m happy.”
While Jordan has Creed III in post-production, previously announced upcoming projects include starring in Methuselah, with director Danny Boyle and producer David Heyman. Written by Simon Beaufoy, who collaborated with Boyle on Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours, the film is reported to be a spin on the Biblical tale of a thousand-year-old man.
Harvey, in addition to maintaining a remarkably curated Instagram page, is the co-founder of SKN, a beauty, cosmetic, and personal care line that boasts to be “clean, vegan, cruelty-free, paraben and sulfate-free.”
