Orlando Pirates’ troubles could potentially spell good news for struggling Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs and here is why!

The Buccaneers are reportedly set to discard two of their misbehaving star players in the form of Gabadinho Mhango and Ben Motshwari at the end of the season.

Both Orlando Pirates stars were caught up in off-field issues which immediately saw them lose their regular places at the club and here’s why Kaizer Chiefs could benefit from their woes!

Orlando Pirates midfielder Ben Motshwari has reportedly caught the attention of rivals Kaizer Chiefs!

The former Bidvest Wits midfielder looks set to be disposed of by the Buccaneers and It has since been reported that their struggling Soweto rivals are interested in him!

“We had a meeting recently and both parties agreed by mutual consent to part ways.” the Orlando Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango said as quoted by Citizen.

“It is a huge relief to me because I was hardly enjoying game time. It has been a stressful season for me and I can’t wait to move on and, hopefully, this will be a new dawn for my career.

“My agent told me that there are a few clubs that he is talking to and we are having another meeting (on Friday) for an update.

“So, that’s where we are and I am just waiting to see what will come up at the end of the season. Of course, there were issues at Orlando Pirates, but they were blown out of proportion.

“I have been training hard. I have been outstanding during training, but surprisingly, the coaches have been ignoring me.

“And there is nothing I can do about it. It could be something personal, I really don’t know what was happening.”

Gabadinho Mhango has been valued at approximately R13 million while Ben Motshwari’s valuation sits at R15 million according to Transfermarkt.

Kaizer Chiefs themselves are set for a thorough revamp in both midfield and attack meaning space for Orlando Pirates’ two stars at Naturena won’t be a problem.
